Dawson school board members approved a pair of administrative contracts and handled several other items during their regular meeting last week at the school in Welch.
Honor roll students in the Dawson school system have been announced for the fourth six-week grading period.
In response to the winter storms that hit Texas recently, the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is offering farmers and ranchers technical and financial assistance to repair and replace certain damaged conservation practices.

It was cookie time at the Dawson County Public Library Tuesday afternoon. Lucy’s Flour Shop baked 300 chocolate chip cookies to go along with the children’s book, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie,” by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond. Baker Matthew Hernandez and his future wife, Heather, along with library staff, distributed the cookies to passersby while rocking out to children’s music and Disney movie songs. LPR photo
