For those not born with a natural green thumb there is help. Six free weekly sessions teaching people how to build a garden and grow their own fruits and vegetables are being planned here.
ANDREWS – Hundreds of spectators lined the streets to watch Friday’s spectacular Andrews Christmas Lighted Parade that featured scores of area bands in a heartfelt tribute to the Mighty Mustang Band.
BROWNFIELD – The Brownfield Police Department is asking the community to donate coats and blankets. They ask the coats and blankets to be lightly used and clean to brand new. Anyone interested in donating can do so by bringing the items to the department, placing them in the box, or delivering them to the working receptionist.
SNYDER – The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Martin Prueitt Jr. chapter is getting ready for its first Dec. 18 Wreaths Across America program.

One of the largest bands ever to march in a parade in this part of Texas included almost 100 members of Lamesa High School’s Golden Tornado Band on Friday evening.
