With the city’s first homicide this year occurring over the weekend, along with concerns over drug- and gang-related crimes, Lamesa City Council members discussed Tuesday the possibility of funding two more law enforcement officers for a Special Operations unit for the police department.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to accept construction bids in October on a project that will add passing lanes to US 180 between Lamesa and Seminole, according to a TxDOT press release
Lamesa City Council members gave their blessing Tuesday to a businessman’s request to have an alleyway near Twilight Electric abandoned.
