A handful of Golden Tornado tracksters are heading to the area meet after a strong start in the first day of the District 3-3A Track Championships.

SNYDER – New Snyder police officer Nicolas Miller was sworn-in and presented with his badge during a ceremony Monday morning at the Scurry County Law Enforcement Center. The job is MIller’s first position in law enforcement.
TAHOKA – The Tahoka High School gymnasium, located at N. 4th and Ave. P, has been designated as an alternate location for an upcoming district jury selection process, approved last Monday by the Lynn County Commissioners Court at the request of 106th District Judge Reed Filley.
STANTON – An accidental fire on the south side of Stanton led to an enormous explosion that could be felt for miles last week.
