Ethel Watkins

    Funeral services for Ethel Mae Watkins, 82, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship Church located at 213 N Houston Ave, Lamesa TX with Pastor Taylor Wood officiating.
    Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Branon Funeral Home.
    Ethel passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021in Lubbock. 
    She was born January 6, 1939, in Mountaineer, NM to William and Edna Kirkwood.  She married her husband and soulmate Billy H. Watkins March 9, 1974 in Lamesa, Texas. 
    Ethel is preceded in death by her husband Billy, brother Charles E Kirkwood, and grandson, Dustin Wesley Mitchell. 
    Ethel was an LVN Nurse for Medical Arts Hospital and Home Health Care.  She retired in 2009 after 35 years of service.  Ethel enjoyed sewing, embroidering, wood working and taking care of her babies Lacy, Hope, Mittens and Ceecee. 
    Ethel is survived by her children, Rhonda Hildreth of Canyon, TX, Kathleen Shelton and husband, Lloyd of Lamesa TX, Charlene Redman of Lamesa, TX, Alesha Abram of  Birmingham, AL, Robin Hollingsworth and Rosalinda Felan of Lamesa, TX Michelle Ferguson-Smith and husband, Danny of Crandall, GA, Mark Hollingsworth and husband, Chris of Shreveport, LA, Destin Abram of Lamesa, TX, and her sister, Patsy Yates of Tucson, AZ, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
