Lamesa school Superintendent Jim Knight (right) was part of the team handing out meals for children on Wednesday at Lamesa Middle School. Although the school is continu-ing to provide meals to feed children up through age 18 seven days a week, they have reduced their distribution days to only Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Two June dates being eyed for LHS graduation
Lamesa school officials are now planning graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020 sometime in June, with the exact date to be determined within the next week.
Hair salons, barbers may reopen Friday
For the first time since late March, local residents will have an opportunity beginning Friday to go to a hair salon or barber shop to get their hair cut or styled.
County purchases water truck, to consider selling precinct barn
Members of the Dawson County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of a water truck and handled a variety of other business during their regular meeting Tuesday.
