Lamesa will be sending four teams to the West Texas All-Star Girls Tournament this week at Basin Complex, located on the grounds of the University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa.

A lot of times in the past, we’d play two games and then be out in these tournaments,” Lamesa Coach Pete Capetillo said. “We liked the way our guys competed.”
As exciting as Lamesa’s Zoey Sifuentes has been to watch on the high school softball diamond during the past three seasons, the Golden Tornadoes’ talented, hard-hitting shortstop has answered some big questions this past weekend concerning her future.
