The O’donnell Eagles dug themselves an early hole in last Friday’s District 4-A baseball opener at Morton one which they couldn’t quite recover from as the Indians prevailed, 12-9.
There’s no denying that a brisk wind this past Saturday afternoon at Littlefield wasn’t much fun to play in for the Golden Tornados’ softball team.
As if showing down Borden County’s high octane softball team isn’t hard enough on the opposition throw in the fact that the hard-hitting Coyotes got 14 free bases from O’Donnell pitchers and a game which went only three innings was still a long night.
Borden County’s girls and O’Donnell’s boys took top honors in last Thursday’s District 6-A Track Meet held out at Gail.
The Golden Tornado track girls put up a whopping 111 points in last week’s District 3-3A Track & Field Championships at Denver City but it wasn’t quite enough to bring home the coveted crown.
