Sandra Trevino (left), the city’s vendor coordinator for the Chicken Fried Steak Festival; Lori Vitolas (center) of West Texas Graphics; and City Secretary Betty Conde (right) show off the black and blue t-shirts city workers and volunteers will wear during the upcoming festival. The shirts will help visitors find those in charge when in search of help, answers to questions or a golf course ride to another part of Forrest Park.
As we enter the severe weather season, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reminds Texans they can purchase certain items tax free during the state’s sales tax holiday for emergency preparation supplies, which begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, and ends at midnight on Monday, April 29.
