The COVID-19 crisis may slightly delay but has not stopped plans for a Domino’s pizza restaurant to open in Lamesa.
Lamesa school employees will start returning to work on-site at campuses and offices beginning next Monday under a three-phase return-to-work policy approved by school trustees during a special meeting Monday evening.
Action taken by the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday will allow a company which has been doing work at the courthouse in recent weeks to immediately begin two additional projects there.

A prisoner in handcuffs and shackles who jumped from a moving sheriff’s vehicle and fled into a nearby house here Friday morning was back in custody in just over 10 minutes, according to local law enforcement officials.
