A Lamesa resident with mobility problems now has a new ramp in front of her home thanks to an organization called the Texas Ramp Project.
The wooden ramp was constructed last Friday for Lupe Olvera at 408 N.E. 4th St.
“She had family members remove the old wooden porch and ramp and we replaced it with a new Texas Ramp Project designed ramp,” said Texas Ramp Project team leader Gary Poe.
Volunteers from the Snyder Lions Club and Colonial Hill Baptist Church in Snyder built the ramp with guidance from Poe.
