Members approved a $25,000 grant for a new business and accepted the deed to a piece of property on the downtown square during Monday’s meeting of the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) and Lamesa Economic Alliance Project (LEAP) boards of directors.

The business is open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sundays.
Lamesa Independent School District (LISD) board members will have an agenda laden with the results of the Nov. 3 election when they meet at 6 p.m., Thursday in the Central Office board room.

ANDREWS - Though the school district’s remote learning was terminated Friday, not all students who were learning at home in Andrews will return to campus classrooms on Nov. 10, according to school officials.
SNYDER - Family Connections is a new online, weekly interactive question and answer session offered by the Snyder Independent School District (SISD) for parents each Tuesday at noon and 5 p.m. The first pair of sessions, held earlier this week, focused on the district’s Schoology online assignment and grade tracking system.
