Dawson County Hospital District board members are hosting a 5 p.m. special meeting today at the Medical Arts Hospital’s conference room at 2200 N. Bryan Ave.
Next week is Spring Break and the Dawson County Public Library has an array of activities scheduled to keep students a bit busy during their break from school.
It’s no surprise that the chances of grassland and woodland fires is up across the state. Fires already claimed two lives, 1.25 million acres and cropland, hundreds of homes and ranches; and thousands of livestock in the Texas Panhandle for over a week.
For the first time in the school’s history, a Sands High School (SHS) student captured the state championship title in digital animation film at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) competition held in Austin Feb. 28.
