Tarin wins state in digital animation

For the first time in the school’s history, a Sands High School (SHS) student captured the state championship title in digital animation film at the University Interscholastic League (UIL) competition held in Austin Feb. 28.SHS junior Anelia Tarin competed against four other state qualifiers for the title, a gold medal and a trophy.
