State Highway Patrol troopers look over the scene of a collision just south of Lamesa Wednesday afternoon between a three-wheel motorcycle and a pickup truck. The motorcycle driver reportedly suffered extensive leg and other injuries and was fl own to a Lubbock hospital. The collision occurred on U.S. Highway 87, a short distance south of the intersection with State Highway 349.

Madisyn, daughter of Steve and Calli Ruiz, will be attending Texas Tech University in the fall to study Wildlife Biology. Jorge, son of the late Ignacio Gonzalez and Griselda Carrisalez and grandson of Maria Consuelo Gonzalez, plans to attend Texas Tech University to study Accounting.
Dawson County will be purchasing two new road graders at a combined cost, with trade-in of two used graders, of just over $353,000.
