Gov. Greg Abbott on April 1 posted an online video message seeking Texans’ individual and collective help to reduce the spread of the deadly new coronavirus, COVID-19.
An employee of the Dawson school district delivers meals to a student’s house recently. Dawson ISD Superintendent Layne Sheets said the school is delivering the meals along with instructional materials to students while schools are prohibited from holding in-person classes due to the COV- ID-19 situation. The deliveries also allow school personnel to keep in contact with students from a safe distance while following CDC health requirements.

SEMINOLE – Even with executive orders issued by both President Trump and Governor Greg Abbott restricting groups to numbers of 10 or less, some local citizens have ignored the pleas – and restrictions – calling for social distancing.
SNYDER – Snyder’s First United Methodist Church (FUMC) is reaching out to the community by serving Sunday meals for families that rely on school meals.

Roy Eugene Morris walked into the arms of God on April 1, 2020. His family will privately celebrate his life at a graveside service on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Grace Hill Cemetery of Perry.
