Fresh off of their first district win in program history last Friday against Ira the O’Donnell Eagles’ softball squad could have taken a big step toward securing a playoff Monday evening at O’Donnell with a win over Westbrook.
The District 8-1A track meet Wednesday at Welch turned out being a threehorse race in the varsity boys’ division.
The Golden Tornadoes are sending two regional golf out of a fairly competitive District 3-3A.

A couple of weeks ago the O’Donnell Eagles’ softball doubled last year’s games in their win column and now they’ve also got their first district win in this program.
After once growing up here playing in the Golden Tornado tennis program, Coach Jose Lucio feels like he’s seen just about everything in this game.
With district coming up later this week, O’Donnell Coach Blake Nichols continues being concerned with his Eagles’ lack of consistency at the plate.
