The Golden Tornadoes’ baseball squad put two more games into the win column in this week’s Levelland Tournament.

A youth movement continues to lead the Golden Tornadoes’ golf program this season.

As twins, Lamesa’s Emiliana and Lilliana Contreras probably have several things in common including their love for the game of softball. Both of these North Elementary fi fth grade sisters were recognized among the best in their division in the youth girls’ softball tournament held here last weekend at the Bill Weaver Youth Sports’ Complex. Playing for the Lamesa Heartbreakers, both of these young ladies earned MVP in games held as part of that tournament. Emiliana plays catcher and Lilliana pitcher. Their parents Trinidad and Sara Contreras help coach their daughters. By earning MVP status, both young ladies will now play in an allstate tournament this summer at Hobbs, New Mexico.

The Golden Tornadoes’ tennis squad turned in another promising showing this week at the Levelland Tournament where they won 17 out of their 27 matches.
