The Golden Tornadoes’ tennis squad finished fifth out of 10 teams in last weekend’s Texas Tennis Coaches Association’s regional tournament at Brownfield.
“It was tough up there but overall we felt like our kids did a pretty good job,” Golden Tornado Coach Jose Lucio said.
“The first day the wind flat killed us. It was blowing a good 40 to 50 miles per hour and that little white ball was blowing pretty much everywhere.”
The Golden Tors lost their first match on Friday to Class 2A Forsan, 10-6.
“We probably should have won that match. We ended up losing three tie-breakers,” Lucio said.
