State is the pinnacle of any high school sport. It’s a feat which nearly every high school athlete dreams about but very few actually get to experience. Kyle Welcher did it in two separate sports for the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes back in 1998. Welcher was the starting point guard on Lamesa’s Class 4A Final Four basketball team in 1998.
