After missing close to this past month with an injury, Lamesa senior Rogelio Vela made a very welcomed return to the high school pitching mound for the Golden Tornadoes this past Saturday at longtime rival Brownfield.It couldn’t have came at a more opportune time for the Golden Tors as Vela pitched Lamesa to a big 5-2 victory in their District 3-3A opener over the Cubs.“Ro pitched his tail off.
