It’s off to the races for the Golden Tornadoes’ boys and girls track squads as they get their season out of the starting blocks here next week on their brand new six-lane track. Thursday will see the junior high track meet starting at 4 p.m. with the field events. The first running event, the 2,400-meters, will crank up at 5 p.m., with the rest of the running events beginning at 5:45 p.m. Joining Lamesa in the junior high meet will be Denver City, Seminole, Andrews, Lubbock Christian and Levelland.
