Lamesa’s varsity girls basketball team had a tough time getting the ball to go through the hoop in a 48-32 loss to Greenwood here on Tuesday evening. “For the most part tonight the girls did exactly as I asked,” Coach Shai Young said following the game. “Unfortunately, the shots didn’t fall for us tonight.” He said his squad did great on defense against a fast-moving Greenwood team. “I’ve told the girls throughout the season, as long as you go out and execute I’m not going to be upset with y’all,” Young said.
