As excited as Lamesa High School head volleyball coach Skye Torres has been with what she’s seeing in last week’s first practice, Tuesday afternoon’s season openers did nothing to dampen that enthusiasm.The Golden Tor volleyballers started up their season Tuesday morning at Follis Gym by spiking Class 3A Tulia in four sets winning the first set with a 25-17, dropping the second set 17-25, rebounding to win the next two sets 25-18 and 25-20 to finish off that opener.One of the biggest keys to that season-opening victory was aggressiveness.Torres is also pleased with what she’s been seeing in other parts ...
