A handful of Golden Tornado tracksters are heading to the area meet after a strong start in the first day of the District 3-3A Track Championships. Opening day of that meet was held Thursday at Denver City, mainly involving field events and preliminaries in running events. The running finals were being held this Saturday at Denver City. The top four finishers in each varsity event at district will advance to the area meet on April 15, also at Denver City.
