The Brownfield Cubs came into Lamesa’s Follis Gym Tuesday night as one of the top-ranked Class 3A girls squads in the state.
The Cubs didn’t do anything to tarnish their reputation, winning 73-30.
But it wasn’t all bad in the eyes of Lamesa Coach Shai Young.
“Our big message to our girls going into this game tonight was this is the kind of game which can only make us better while we make them work. We actually outscored them (14-13) in the third quarter,” said Young.
Brownfield is currently ranked seventh in the state.
