Borden County Coach Trey Richey often refers to six-man football as being a “different animal” from the 11-man game.
Richey played six-man football in high school at Jayton, then played 11-man at McMurry University in Abilene.
Apparently it did not take one of Richey’s former pupils long to make the switch, either. Recent Borden County graduate Zane Allen not only was the starting center for his squad in the 70th annual Greenbelt All-Star Football Game last Saturday at Childress, but was recognized as the Offensive Lineman of the Game.
