From the pee wees into the college ranks, former Lamesans Darrian Doederlein Roberson and Shelby Doederlein Jones spent most of their lives as softball teammates.
With both coaching the sport again this coming school year, the game remains a big part of their lives some 20 years after they started playing.
“The first time that I picked up a bat I was only four years old,” Darrian said.
Next February they’ll find themselves in a somewhat unique situation.
