One of Borden County’s biggest goals since the football season began was to win their 12th straight district championship.
Coach Trey Richey’s 7-0 Coyotes can take a huge step in doing just that on Friday night at Gail when they host the 6-1 Klondike Cougars in a Division I District 6A showdown between that league’s co-leaders.
“You don’t hear too often about somebody looking to win 12 (district championships) in a row. A lot of schools don’t even have 12 district championships in their trophy case much more 12 in a row,” Klondike Coach Dalton DeGraffenreid said.
