Lamesa’s seventh grade football team tackled its fourth win of the season here Thursday evening, 30-16 over Slaton.“Our defense really played well, only giving up points in the second half. We got a chance to see several guys play some minutes and I feel like they all contributed something to the win,” Coach Matt Hood said.Nathan Ortega scored four touchdowns and a two-point conversion.
