Sands and Klondike renewed their longtime rivalry Tuesday night at Cougar Gym with the Mustangs pulling off a pair of victories on the varsity level.
The Mustang girls, 16-2 on the year and ranked 12th in this week’s Class 1A state poll, breezed to their 16th win of the season by a score of 78-13.
The game was never in doubt after the Mustangs jumped out to a huge 27-0 edge at the end of the first quarter and led 44-5 at the half en route to their third straight District 8-1A win.
