The Sands Mustangs enjoyed a clean sweep on the hardwoods Friday evening at Ackerly. The Mustang girls continued their tough non-district schedule by knocking off Class 6A Odessa High, 40-23. Sands, now 4-1, owned a 20-10 halftime lead and were up 33-14 after three stanzas of play. “Our girls continue to play great defense,” Coach Ben Connell said. “Right now, our defense is carrying us.
