Having one of the top Class 1A high school girls basketball teams in the state, Sands Coach Ben Connell purposely scheduled ‘up’ to get his Mustangs ready for what he’s hoping will be a long playoff run. The Mustangs were scheduled to play Sterling City on Tuesday but the Eagles ended up pulling out after qualifying for state in volleyball. Sands picked up Class 6A Frenship to fill the gap.
