Sands’ basketball boys lost their season opener at Lubbock All Saints, 55-35, Friday night.“They had some big kids – big and physical. All Saints has kids who go straight basketball, so they’ve been in the gym since the start of the school year,” Sands Coach Billy Grumbles said.“We missed too many easy shots tonight but at one point this was only a threepoint game before they took off and left us behind.”Sands’ boys are off Tuesday night before going to Class 3A Lubbock Roosevelt next Friday.
