Sands jumped out to a 29-7 halftime lead in that game.
“The girls came out and played really well in the first quarter, and that took the confidence away from Meadow,” Sands Coach Ben Connell said.
“I loved the girls’ effort. Their teamwork was great.”
Me-A Gonzales led the Lady Mustangs with 10 points. Landry Morrow and Alexis Gonzales scored eight points each; Mayra Diaz, Lili Porras, Kaylee French and Yesenia Reyna had four points each; and Lakyn Sandlin added two.
