O”Donnell’s basketball boys took another big step toward repeating as the District 6-1A champs Tuesday night at the Eagles’ Nest. The Eagles thumped the Crosbyton Chiefs, 64-24. O’Donnell jumped out to a 14-2 first quarter lead and held a commanding 32-10 halftime edge. The Eagles outscored the Chiefs, 32-14 in the second half. “Probably tonight was the best we’ve played all year. Our guys shot the ball really well tonight including 10 three-pointers,” Coach Rocky Feliciano said. “We played really good defense again tonight, too.” The Eagles are now 14-6 overall and 7-1 in District 6-1A court action.
