Coach Rocky Feliciano’s O’Donnell boys took another big step toward returning to the playoffs Friday night by holding off Lorenzo, 36-31,in a key District 6-1A match-up.
But the Eagles had to overcome a shaky start before stinging the Hornets and improving their season record to 11-6, including 4-1 in 6-1A play.
O’Donnell spotted Lorenzo the first nine points as the Hornets were up 9-0 at the end of the opening quarter. OHS was down 15-8 at halftime.
O’Donnell outscored Lorenzo, 28-16, in the second half.
