Being named Klondike’s new head volleyball coach comes as a homecoming of sorts for Katie Cruz.
Cruz went to school at Klondike from her kindergarten to fifth grade year before moving to Crane, where she graduated from high school in 2009.
Now she finds herself returning to Klondike to fill the coaching vacancy left by Niatha Cullen, who recently accepted an assistant coaching job at Texas Tech.
