The Sands Mustangs enjoyed a clean sweep over the Ira Bulldogs on the area high school hardwoods this past Tuesday night at Ackerly.A big second half helped the Mustangs knock off the Bulldogs, 44-21, in Tuesday evening’s girls game. After clinging to a slim, 16-15, halftime lead, the Mustangs outscored the Bulldogs, 28 to six in the second half.“It seems like we’ve been a second half team all season. We’re still waiting to play that complete game,” Sands Coach Brennen Fowler said.Hayley Connell and Kinsey Gillespie had 10 points each to lead the Mustang girls. Chloe Gillespie had nine points.
