The Sands Mustangs girls basketball squad made the long trip from Ackerly to Imperial Tuesday evening a successful voyage.Sands girls didn’t play like a team which had to go 130 miles to play a game. They rolled past the Buena Vista Longhorns, 48-14.“We played good defense, but we still must have turned it over 1,000 times,” Sands Coach Sean Kennedy said.The Mustang girls jumped on these Longhorns quick up 18-8 at the end of the first quarter and then 38-18 at the half.
