Special teams play was anything but that for the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes on Friday night at Muleshoe.
A couple of onside kicks helped the Mules put 29 points on the scoreboard in the first two quarters.
Muleshoe then found pay dirt twice in the second half, sending the Golden Tors home with a 42-6 defeat.
“They weren’t actually onside kicks as much as they were just trying to pooch at the football at us. We just didn’t get there. It’s like we watched it,” Golden Tor Coach Joseph Hood said.
