After verbally committing to play college softball at Rider University last February, Lamesa’s Jadeyn Merrill fulfilled that promise Wednesday evening by signing a scholarship with the NCAA Division 1 Broncs of Lawrenceville, NJ.“As exciting as all of this is, it’s a big relief just knowing that I’ve got one less thing to worry about, this is my senior year,” Merrill said.Merrill is thought to be only the second Golden Tornado softball player to sign a Division I scholarship in school history.
