The Golden Tornadoes ran in their first cross country meet of the season last Saturday at the Lubbock Christian University Chap Invite and Coach Rose Mary McCall likes the potential she saw on opening day. “Each of these young people competed hard in this meet,” McCall said. “They represented Lamesa with class. “We have a very young team experience-wise. I’m so proud of each of these young athletes.” The Golden Tors will be running next Saturday in the Plains Invitational which will be held at the Yoakum County Golf Course in Denver City.
