Lamesa’s Loni Martin isn’t prepared to walk away from the game of softball for good. After being a four-year starter in the Golden Tornadoes’ high school softball program, Martin announced this week that she’s going to continue stepping up to the plate at Kilgore Junior College. “We’d been talking to the coach over there since the beginning of summer. She’s been doing her best to help make me feel welcome,” Martin said. Becoming a Ranger soft-baller will soon be a family affair of sorts for Martin.
