The O’Donnell Eagles were able to defend their home field on Friday night against the visiting Southland Eagles, 56-6, in Fernando Baeza debut as O’Donnell. O’Donnell was dominant in their season-opening game. They ended the first quarter with a 20-0 lead and were up 44-0 at the half – just one point away from stopping the game on six-man football’s mercy rule in the second.
