There’s no telling what kind of high school tennis player Jose Lucio could have been in high school with the luxury of growing up with a junior high program. Even without it, Lamesa High School’s current tennis coach was a regional qualifier when he was in high school before graduating here in 2000. Beginning this fall, young players will now have the luxury of playing junior high tennis here. Lucio announced this week that the Golden Tornadoes will start having a junior high tennis program starting in October with off-season workouts.
