The Golden Tornado softball team is off to a 3-0 start after winning two games on Friday in San Angelo’s Concho Classic. The Lamesa girls finished up play on Friday evening with an 8-1 victory over the Greenwood Rangerettes. The Golden Tors scored two runs in the first inning, four more in the second and two in third. Greenwood avoided the shutout by scoring its lone run in the third inning. Jadeyn Merrill struck out eight Rangerettes, giving up three hits and walking only one.
