After wrapping up the O.W. Follis tournament here last weekend with two big wins, the Lamesa High School girls basketball team improved to 7-6 on Tuesday evening with a win over Littlefield.
Trailing 6-12 at the end of the first quarter, the Golden Tornadoes came back to capture a 53-42 victory on their home court.
“During the pre-game I asked if we started sluggish and the other team got the first punch, how would we respond,” Coach Shai Young said. “We responded well.”
Lamesa outscored Little-field 17-11 in the third quarter and 20-10 in the fourth.
