Having to replace nearly all of last year’s playoff ball club, the Golden Tors opened up their baseball season here on a chilly Monday afternoon at Joe Spikes Field.
The Golden Tors fell to the always-tough Idalou Wildcats, 13-7.
“Idalou made the most out of its opportunity and we didn’t,” Coach Bobby Alvarez said.
The Golden Tors scored their first three runs in the first inning and two each in the fourth and fifth.
Idalou scored four runs in the second inning, five in the third, one in the fourth and three in the sixth.
