A handful of Lamesa sluggers helped the Texas Renegades win the Fall Mex-Tex tournament held this past weekend at Midland’s Hogan Park. “Man it was a lot of fun just being back out there again,” said Heath Derington, a 2016 Lamesa High School graduate who played shortstop for the Renegades. Other local sluggers on that team were Jordan Derington, Justice Baltazar, Isaac Guzman, Rob Iglesias, Jose Compean and Brian Gonzales.
